.17hmr prices?
« on: January 03, 2013, 05:39:10 PM »
Would people mind doing me a favour please?

Next time you are in your local gun shop could you please ask how much for 50 or 100 .17hmr Hornady V-Max 17grain and if they offer a discount for buying 500 at a time?

I fell out with my usual gun shop over the head of this today and can buy them much cheaper at a shop whih is a lot more convenient for me to get to but I dot use because I know the owner of my usual one and I go out of my way to go there, his attitude today stunk when I queried his prices on this and he as good as told me to go elsewhere.

Obviously I won't be driving the length of the county to buy my ammo and I have found my cheapest local supplier but I thought it would be interesting to get an idea of how much the price varies across the country. But please make sure it's not the 20gr or the Remmingtons you get a price for because then it won't be like for like, whilst we are at it we may as well do an airgun pellet too:

I can get the hmr rounds for £12.50/50Nr no discount on 500Nr or £13/50

Air Arms Field Diabolo .22 pellets £13 a tin or £10.50 a tin if buying 5 or more
Springers:- SMK VXS19 - 18 GRT3 trigger & HW97k V-Glide
PCP's:- Uncle Barry's Daystate Mk3 (FAC), BSA Superten & AA S510
FAC :- Anschutz 1417 .22LR, CZ 452 .17HMR & Tikka T3 .223 1:8
Shotguns:- 12 Gauge Bettinsoli Xtrail O/U & Beretta A302 Semi-Auto

Here's how much my RFD sells pelets for.
And here's another loalish place that sells hmr's.
Hope that gives you a rough guide.
