.177 Air Arms Pellets
« on: December 26, 2011, 10:11:49 AM »
177 Air Arms pellets now come in a 'PINK' labelled tin!

Air Arms state the colour change is to make the pellets stand out more on the gunshop shelf.

I reckon the real reason though, is as the smaller sized .177 is often referred to as the 'Girly' calibre, either this is very apt, or Air Arms are proving that they have a sense of humour!

What do you think Guys??  Comments please.......

I think you will find that 177 is the new manly calibre. Just look at the new BSA mags, 22 is pink.  ;)
Stupid boy.

Calibre Depends on what and where you Shoot

If a Club Shooter there is Only .177

Especially if you want to knock down metal targets over 40 Metres  ;)

We get many New / Returning Shooters most weeks  - who have rushed out and brought
A Starter Gun - in most Cases .22

To find that they are truly Handicapped when Shooting Metal knock over style Targets
As a Falling .22 Pellet will No bring them down  ;)

Especially as there are now plenty of Hunting Style pellets out there these day's  ;)

As a dedicated .177 shooter (3 rifles + 4 pistols not counting the new .43cal) it's the way to go I've tried .22 but the trajectory is just too much, I'd rather place the shot perfectly, than rely on the brick effect!

If I remember rightly pink was a very manly colour Gareth :D In the roman times the rich and powerful often wore either pink robes or white robes with a pink sash. The pink/purple represented power wealth and prosperity whereas the white represented being pure.

Clearly the reason why the 177 Air Arms pellets come in pink is becasue theyre more dominant and powerful than .22's :P
