Yes, there is a copy link but when clicking on ( image ) then paste , nothing happens. It has always worked in the past . Remember my pics are stored with Postimage , not photobucket.

What a bummer!

It sometimes goes that the harder you try, the worse the result. This was especially true when doing vehicle paintwork....you'd go for a really nice finish by putting an extra wet final coat on....and it would all end up on the floor. This is what's know as the 'Glory Coat' effect.

Sounds like a similar thing has happened to you Mel.......you've tried to make something look as nice as you can and just ending up with it all turning to shit, which was the opposite of what you were trying to achieve. :(

Glad to heat you've got it sorted now though.

Replied to your thread about posting pics. FYI I just did a test and I posted pics no problem....so it's not an issue with the Planet Airgun forum.

Would you believe it , i,ve managed to almost destroy the pistol. I had it working fine . Then i stripped it ready to paint . Four coats of high temp paint then 30 minutes in the oven. But when i tried to re-assemble it the firing valve body jammed inside the tube. It just wouldn,t move. The trouble is, i made everything from alloy , including the firing valve , i,ve run out of brass. And when aluminium jams it actually welds itself together. So i had to use a piece of steel rod and a lump hammer to get it out , which ruined the end of the tube. So i had to bore that out and make another inlet valve assembly to suit. I can only assume the tube distorted when it was heated. Then on re-assembly the damn thing leaked , past the firing valve body. A close inspection revealed tiny marks along the length of the tube. They must have been there all along but it didn,t leak first time round. So, it was a case of fine emery on a wooden dowl and lots of testing. I think i,ve got  it now ( fingers crossed ) . A couple of coats of paint to cover some of the inevitable scratches and all should be good. I can tell you now that, properly applied, that barbeque paint is very durable.
