A couple of months back i was asked by my mate who runs the market airgun stall to have a look at this rifle. Now my mate has a special relationship with SMK and subsequentially gets to see ( and keep ) a lot of very special guns to come out of China. This is the only one in the country and possibly , the world. It was sent over for evaluation.  It is built from alloy and carbon fibre . Unfortunately it leaked like a sieve . So i was tasked with getting it working. On stripping it i found the firing valve was so badly made it couldn,t possibly work . At this point i have to say i was given free range just to get it working. The valve spring was heavy enough to sit in a four stroke engine , as was the hammer spring. And the hammer stroke is 28mm Most pcp,s run a stroke of 8-12 mm. Anyway i re-engineered the valve and installed lighter springs. And it worked , running close to the limit for around 20 shots. It has a small cylinder and is un-regged. It only weighs around 2 lbs. As far as i understand it will never be sold on the open market. And my mate gets to keep it

Hmmm. not my cup of tea styling wise, but very interesting all the same.

I'm guessing that because of the folding stock (making it too short), it may come under section 5 FAC and that is why it won't be sold over here?
