its been a long time
« on: August 20, 2020, 09:49:07 PM »
Its been over 5 years since I shot my feinwerkbau c10 co2 target pistol (I used to have a walther lp300 but the 300 bar cylinder spring a leak from the side of the cylinder, i could not afford a new cylinder so I sold it back to the bloke i bought it from) i used to do competitions (the Yorkshire league) i did fairly well. When my pistol coach/mentor said he was selling his air pistol i had first refusal.
As i said over 5 years since i shot 10m, the last time it was in my old club, indoors, no wild and returning target, so today I set up a makeshift 10m target and the bloke shooting next to me was impressed, (so was i) we were out doors with gusty wild.

Please ignore the blue tack on the grip, its just to give a better folit to my hand

The shots on the left were before I adjusted the palm shelf

I'm now going to get a proper target stand, to the correct hight

Pretty good shots for free-hand with open sights, I've taken to using cheating aids (red-dot scopes) on my HW75 and Alecto pistols. Both the pneumatic pump type with fairly little recoil and with what I see as the bonus of not having to fork out for c02 bulbs or an air cylinder to refill them from.

I shoot sat down at the club and at home so I have the option to bench rest if I want it, I certainly bench rest to zero in the red-dot scopes as accurately as possible before switching to free-hand use so I don't appear to be cheating as much.  ;D

Cooooool.

I was given a mint FWB mod65 pistol some years ago........like a fool I part-ex'd it on a Gunpower Stealth as I had no interst in pistolsback then. The Stealth turned out to be utter garbage. Sorriest thing I've ever done. ::) :(

I made up a target stand (sorry no pics yet, I forgot  :-[)
I found out why my shots were going high and left, the pelletsi used were rws geco, not the rws r10's thats the pistols normal diet,  using the r10's and all but 1 flyer were in the 7 ring.
