It's not done and dusted yet Franky.

Many MPs are calling for the delay of brexit (so a 'deal' with the EU can be made before we leave) or for a second referendum to take place.

Well......we've already had a referendum on the subject, and the majority voted to leave.

Secondly, those who voted to leave did just that, voted to leave....they didn't vote to 'leave but only if we've got a deal with the EU in place'............that was never an option on the voting card...........it was simply 'leave' or 'remain'.....that was it, only two choices.

When are the soddin' politicians going to realise they're not in place to enforce their own ideals or views.....but to carry out the wishes of the majority of the British people.....that's what democracy is all about.

If this doesn't go through, I can envisage the shit hitting the fan.......riots etc etc..........as it will mark the downfall of democracy in this country. ::) >:( >:(

I echo those thoughts Gambo. I got collared by a remainer handing out leaflets calling for a second referendum the other day.  I gave him the whole nine yards. In the end he says , " well thank you , its been nice talking to you " , and I hadn,t even finished  >:(
Trouble is, you,ve got a bunch of politicians trying to negotiate on something they don,t believe in.  May herself is a remainer.

May herself is a remainer.

Yes she was.....but at least she seems to realise it's her duty is to carry out the wishes of the majority of the British people, even if those wishes conflict with her own views.

However, it's my opinion is that a 'deal' is being sought with the EU primarily to equally please both sides of the argument.....the leave and remainers.

To mind my.....leave means leave.

Do the remainers honestly think that suppliers from within the EU will stop selling to us just because we're no longer in the EU!!! After all, manufacturers in the EU already sell to other countries outside of the EU....so what's the difference?

Anyway, if/when we're out of the EU what's to say we wouldn't be able to negotiate better trade terms with EU suppliers/manufacturers than we have now?.........Plus it will allow us to freely trade with the rest of the world....and not have our hands tied by Brussels are they are currently.

IMHO the main reason that Brussels is making it hard for Britain to leave the EU is coz they're crapping themselves about losing the billions the UK pours into the EU pot. Britain is the second highest financial contributor to the EU....our money supports those who pay in fcuk all.....and of course they don't want that to stop. We are the EU's cash cow and dumping ground.......for all the economic migrants and asylum seekers that no one else wants!!!! Grrrrrr.

Deal or (preferably) no deal.....the sooner were are out the better!!!!

Deal or (preferably) no deal.....the sooner were are out the better!!!!

It's strange that so many people seem to think that a deal is so important to those that voted leave. I don't believe that a "Leave with a deal" was on the ballot paper, it just said "Leave".

The UK should have STARTED negotiations and preparations from the point of "Right, we're off on 29th March with no deal" and then worked forward from that establishing trade deals and border agreements etc. if they were in the interests of the UK. Instead the cart was put before the horse and the starting point appears to have been "How do we carefully extricate ourselves from the EU without pissing off those who voted remain and the EU establishment?" And I THAT was due to the fact that May IS a Remainer and surrounded herself with Remainers and the majority of MPs are Remainers and are quite happy to ignore the electorate and to renege on the manifesto commitments. And why are the vast majority of MPs Remainers? Because turkeys don't vote for Christmas, they feather their nests.

Rant over.

Almost.

If we leave with no deal is the world going to end? Will we start packing Europeans onto trains and sending them back to the mainland? Will British ex-pats get the same treatment? Will planes fall from the skies? Will there be no butter in the supermarkets? Will there be no Eastern Europeans to wash your car? Will there be days and days of delays of imports at the ports (like when the French blockade routes and set fire to sheep)?

No.

Why?

Because we (the normal people who live day-to-day and run businesses and do trade and don't spend time blowing hot air in parliament) are not fools.

Rant definitely over.
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

the idiots in charge are targeting kids who are only just old enough to vote and telling them the world will end if we leave the eu, they only have to ask there grand parents, ones who remember what it was like before we entered the eu.
