All in good time laddie. The bits are in the oven at the moment getting the paint baked on ( barbecue paint ) and I,ve ordered some Crosman grips which should be here on Friday. I couldn,t be arsed with making pistol grip scales. It won,t look much but then it,s just for shooting rats and I don,t think they sit around admiring the gun that,s spitting lead at them  :)

Well that,s done it. I,ve managed to bugger it up !  Earlier on in the week I threw it together without cleaning it thoroughly and it worked first time - no leaks , nothing. Now, after cleaning and de-greasing everything and carefully reassembling the thing , it,s leaking like a sieve. And, to boot , i,ve managed to break the Crosman pistol grip. What a plonker  :-[ . It,s leaking at the firing valve and no matter what I do I can,t seem to stop it . I,ve even made a new valve and tried lapping it in - works off a tapered seat , a-la BSA.  I,ll just have to walk away and calm down for a while as it,s already starting to stress me out. Bloody airguns  >:(

Well i,ve fixed the valve leak - still don,t know why it leaked in the first place. And the grip scales have just arrived. I now have to bodge - er fix the broken grip frame and make a small filler plate to fit the grip. And I still have that magazine to make , which will be a challenge. I have , for the moment , fitted a magnetic single shot pellet tray so that I can get on with testing it for accuracy. Photo coming soon.
