Race results from Misano...

1/. Dovizioso/Ducati

2/. Marquez/Honda

3/. Crutchlow/Honda

Pole man and early race leader Lorenzo was on a late charge after conserving his tyres, only to dump off it from P2 with 2 laps or so to go....leaving Championship leader Marquez and Crutchlow to inherit better results.

Once Dovi had got to the front about 1/3-1/2 race distance he dominated, and deserved the win.

Marquez now holds a 67 point lead, and with just 6 races remaining, barring any serious mishaps, is now virtually unassailable to the 2018 World Title.

@Gambo : You'll have seen the incident where Romano Fenati attempted to grab Stefano Manzi's brake lever. How bad was that!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

Yep saw it....and the fallout from it has been massive.

From what I understand the FIM have issued a two race ban, but that doesn't go far enough IMHO......he should loose his race licence for life......but there's more.......

Fenati's team have sacked him...........and the team Manzi was riding for had signed Fenati to ride for them next year....and it will come as no surprise to hear they have pulled the plug on that contract.  Going on memory, it will now be 4 times that Fenati has been sacked by his team.

So........Romano Fenati's actions have come to bite him in the arse yet again.....coz as I said, this ain't the first time he's been unable to control his temper.  ::)

Prick.

Aye, he'll be lucky if he gets a job as a "pundit" now.

I've watched motorsport for decades and it's the most dangerous deliberate act I have ever seen. I don't think the FIM went far enough with their punishment but perhaps the regulations restricted them. If that's the case the reg's need to be changed and lifetime bans should be available.
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

Latest news is Romano Fenati has retired from racing........no doubt prompted by the embarrassment of the situation going viral.

"Retired" because no-one will employ him.

That's like when I retired from being an astronaut.
