Logging In on a Mobile
« on: August 20, 2018, 07:51:42 AM »
I access the Planet on my mobile phone from time to time.

The problem I have is that I can't log in. If I try to click on the box to enter my user name or password I'm passed back to the home screen.

It looks like the "Planet Airgun" banner image is too large and overlaps the login details boxes so .............. try to click on a box and you actually click on the image.

Any chance that the right-hand 10->20% of the image (which appears to be blank) can be trimmed off please?
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

I don't think that can be done Blerky, as from what I remember when the site was originally made/set-up is that there is a load of 'invisible' meta codes n stuff hidden in there which is visible to the search engines, but invisible to us.........so obviously trimming that down will remove some of that stuff which needs to be there. :-\

I've had a look at the source HTML and it looks like the image is simply being displayed at it's original size (800 x 174) regardless of screen size.

I think it could be done by making the image size dynamic.

Having said that, I spoofed my way to the login screen on my phone and have managed to get signed in using the login form so all is good for me now.

I seem to remember someone else having a similar issue in the past, but they managed to log-in via the back door, so to speak.
