Marquez on the Honda were 1.5s dominant all through the practice sessions.....but just couldn't get it together in the drying qualifying session. Miller just happened to be on the right tyre (slick) at the death of qually..........right tyre at the right time!!

Unless it's wet, I can't see the Dukes challenging the Hondas....it's the weather that's gonna throw the curve ball in this GP. 8)

The start was aborted coz it started to rain on the warm-up lap......only one rider (Jack Miller) had appropriate tyres fitted meaning the whole rest of the field would start from the pit lane. :o

For safety reasons that couldn't happen, so 25 odd other riders were send to the very rearmost positions on the grid, meaning Miller had summat like a four row head start.

As the grid formed for the second time, Marquez stalled his engine, pushed and bump started it, then rode backwards up the track (highly illegal manoeuvre to go against the direction of traffic flow) to take his starting position. A steward gestured he (Marquez) should leave his grid position and start from the pit lane, but he disobeyed the command......and all this before the race had even started!!

When the race eventually started Marquez was issued a ride through penalty, which dropped him way down the standings, but he made a monumental charge back through the field, ruffling quite a few feathers with his forceful and determined aggressive riding. A lunge up the inside of Rossi saw the Italian hit the shit, for which Marquez was given a 30 second penalty added onto his overall race time.

Plenty more argy bargy was happening between other riders during the race whilst all this was going on....hence why I said it was chaotic. ;) ;D

Yes that was farcical....race direction didn't seem to know what to do, as did most of the teams and riders.
