Being needy I'd take applause but my inner masochist is shouting "Smite me! Smite  me!"
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

How do these night vision reversing outfits differ from the night vision scope setups other than needing a power source  ?

You'd need to do some work on the camera casing as it has IR lights integrated into it.

I suspect that you'd still need to invest in a decent IR torch.

I'm not sure if that IR sensor chip that's indicated in the pics means that the camera is not IR ready and the system uses the chip. If that's the case then you'd have a non-IR camera and an IR chip that couldn't be focused.

The screen looks exactly like the one I use.

For 40 quid I say it was was a punt but you may end up with a screen and a bunch of cables and bits and pieces rather than a system that could be assembled into something useful.
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

Interesting.......if only I ever did any night shooting to justify getting NV kit. :(
