It's since had some layers of plasterboard installed in it to absorb pellet impacts.

Good idea that mate,it should keep all the spent pellets in one place.Maybe it's worth then collecting all the used pellets and melt them down to cast some lead plate backstops,they last forever and just get thicker as the years roll by :).

That would take many, many moons to make a lead backplate. But I do like making crazy stuff.
