Heat shrink eh, i never thought of that. I think a visit to Maplins might be in order.

Indeed, I have used this over the years for many applications, not just 'electrical' and it's marvellous stuff! (assorted colours too!)

Nick - you can get some good deals on e-bay with kits with multiple sizes and colours - you usually only need short lengths - as has been said, it's a great product!

I got a small pack of multi size shrink from Maplins, less than a fiver so I can't complain for that.

 All went on cushty,just a single layer thick and it's done the trick. Nice snug fit for the spring.
 No vibers or buzz. Once ive shot it abit more i'll chrono it. I'm hoping it to be 6.5-7ftlb.

Yep ,it started from virtually new.The next time it's apart,i'll take a picky.

 I wanted the older version with longer barrel and open sights,i wanted one in 22.Still do.
