The hammer spring will probably sort it,but our whizz kid just bought an hw100 specific reg gauge so was keen to try it out so I let him have it for a week to muck about with.it was quite a bit out from factory recommended specs, they are known to suffer reg creep anyway I'd always chrono one before I bought a second hand one as I know of a couple that were hot second hand.hopefully it was just temperature putting yours over,it'll need attention though as if it's happened once it could happen again

''if it's happened once it could happen again'' that is very likely,it needs sorting.

Had a little fiddle with it, the hammer was sat in goo, gave it a degrease and relubed it all in aerosol 3in1,very thin oil. The power adjuster is straight forward, there's a grub screw to undo then abit of heat on the hammer barrel and job done.
previously been shooting aaf8.4 at 790-802ish+ low shot count.

Shot plenty then chronoed from red to yellow.

 Seems good to me.

Just having a quick look inside the hammer housing and it appears the lube oil has dried out. So I might use graphite powder that my may is supposed to be getting me. Or leave it bone dry?

Well I've had to do that with this as I've nothing real suitable at the moment. Question is will leaving it dry cause premature wear?

I was promised some graphite powder a while ago but it's not turned up .I don't think it ever will.  :(

I doubt it......that's how it's supposed to be. ;)

Where was the graphite powder supposed to be coming from?
