My missus' friend Debbie has just called over for tea.....and very kindly brought me a bottle of Rev. James with her.

The Rev. James ales are named in honour of brewing legend the Rev. James Buckley, saver of souls and satisfier of thirsts. Brewed with our exclusive Buckleys yeast, they each deliver a signature taste with a surprising finish.

Chapter and Verse
The Rev. James Original is rich and well-balanced with a mellow malty flavour that unexpectedly gives way to a clean, refreshing finish.
Brewed in Honour of The Rev. James Buckley and based on an original recipe from 1885
Rich, warming ale with a clean rewarding finish
A SILKY, FULL BODIED, WARMING ALE BREWED TO A TRADITIONAL RECIPE.

A TASTE OF THE GOOD LIFE.

The Rev. James is brewed to a traditional recipe and has been described as having a flavour not commonly available these days. Full-bodied and warming beer, The Rev. James is rich in palate, spicy and aromatic with a deeply satisfying finish.

Sounds delicious, Gambo. It's about time you had a decent ale to go at!

On Saturday we were at "the rival pub" for a few jars and I was on this :

Then, in the interests of fair play, we went to our usual boozer (where Mrs. Blerk works) and I was on this :

(I don't have a shot of the Balck Pig in a glass because it didn't last long enough!)

Both were absolutely lovely!
..........so I packed up and went to the pub.
