Hey, you guys from the other side of the pond have got it too good!! ::)

Imagine doing all that hard pumping, but then only be rewarded with a measly 12ftlbs for your efforts!!! :-\

Errr, Dunno. :-\

It's much the same as when you guys call Miller, Coor's or Budweiser 'beer'!!!!

Nope, your 'beer' and our 'full power' are actually both watered down weedy weak versions of the real thing!!! ;D

Thank's for Answer,My Buddy went to Scotland in US Navy, He said No cold Beer to be Had in Scotland. is Warm Beer, Beer. I never drank any Beer or Hard stuff so I don't know what's what on Beer.....Franky

PS in the 1950's Springer's only made about 12Flb (Wicho 55 Diana 35 Airsporter/Mercury) Till the 1960's FWB 124/7, Diana 45 that had over 12Flb in America besides Multy Pump Crosman/Dan's

Is that where Full Power came from the  1950's ??? Or just UK Gun Store Sales BS

The 12ftlb UK limit was passed in 1967 or '68 IIRC.

Apparently, it was proposed and pushed by BSA, in a knee jerk reaction/retaliation to the flood of high power overseas pump-ups (mainly from Japan and the U.S.) that were being imported into Great Britain, and hurting the sales of Brit manufactured (spring) air rifles, which struggled to make 10ftlbs at the time.

Blocking the importation of those guns because they then exceeded our power limit was the easy way of securing the future.

Or in other words......bloody sour grapes. ::)
