Yet another Ian Barnett recipe, taken from the May '07 issue of Air Gunner magazine.


2x Rabbit saddles and hind legs

1/2 punnet of mushrooms

4 large potatoes

Mixed peppers

Jar of Rogan Josh sauce

Supermarket indian snackpack (Bhaji's, samosa's etc)

Plain nan bread

Easy cook basmati rice

120mls of water

2x tablespoons of cooking oil

plain flour

salt and pepper


Dice mushrooms, peel and cube potatoes, chop peppers and put everything into a pot.

Add water and curry sauce.

Cube meat and lightly dust with flour, then stir fry in cooking oil for 5 minutes to seal, then add to pot, season and stir.

Slow cook (lid on) for 4 hours.

Remove lid and cook on high heat for 1hour.

If watery add flour.

Now cook the rice (1/2 cup of rice to 1 cup of water per person) and warm snacks for 12-15 minutes before serving.

Sprinkle water over nans and warm for a few minutes also.

Serve it all up with chilled white wine, or ice cold lager.
