« on: April 15, 2012, 02:23:54 AM »
Well its currently 2:26 and im shattered so ill keep it short and simple (for now). The meet was bloody wicked and everyone who went was absolutely amazing. Cheers Barry for organising such a great meet and cheers Gareth for taking me down :)

Ill go into more detail once ive had a good sleep especially about Gareth's snoring and my rifle incident with the trigger :P :D

Give me a few hours to sleep and this zombie will post everything great about the meet :)

OK so its 12:32 in the afternoon I've had a good sleep so ill post my views and events on the April Meet :)

As I originally said the meet was bloody wicked and everyone who went was absolutely amazing.

My Trigger Incident:
On the first day there I went to fill my Falcon FN12 rifle. Whilst screwing on the adaptor I screwed it too much and it twisted the internals. I however didnt realise this and went to take a shot. I pulled the trigger not realising it was stuck and snap it went :(

Thankfully however Knuckle was able to fashion me an improvised trigger out of a screw and PTFE tape :) Cheers for that btw Nic :)

Gambo's Snoring:
I cant really describe it....only that it was loud. I went for a walk when everyone went off to bed. When I got back I went to get into my tend. I got in my sleeping bag and for a few minutes everything was fine. Until he started snoring. Bloody hell he was loud AND HE FARTS IN HIS SLEEP !!! I couldnt take it so I actually walked to the gazebo to see if anyone was still in there before moving my sleeping bag in there. When I got back to my tent though I couldnt be bothered to get back up again so I just led awake until 4 before nodding off.

The Food:
The food was all cooked by Nic (Knuckle) and it was lush. Especially that chicken and rice we had yesterday (The sauce was lush !!)

Everyone That Went:
Everyone that went were great people and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone. Between jokes and talks if zombies attacked what we would do I enjoyed talking with everyone :)

Barry:
Barry, cheers for organising the amazing meet and cheers for letting me use your Air Arms S410 (This will be the rifle I want next) and for letting me use your Logan Evo and your 22LR rimfire :).

Gareth:
Cheers for taking me down :) And for keeping me awake with your snoring :P

Anyone that hasn't been on one of these meets I strongly suggest going on the next one. It was a great experience and it was great to meet some people from the forum :)

I concur with everything Kris has said........EXCEPT my snoring.

I was actually Shorthauzen doing the snoring in the tent next ours.....I never knew Meerkats could make so much noise!  ::)

The grub was great, the banter was great, the shooting was great, but the very best thing was the company.......bloody brilliant to meet again with those I already know, and to meet those I have never met before.......I doff my cap to you all.

An absolutely monumental 'Thanks' to those who very kindly put in the effort to make the weekend such a success, you know who you are, so please take a bow...the Karma points will be dished out in due course! ;)

atb, Gareth.
