When I had a 125 scooter I came off it (thanks to Doncaster Councel and about 3tons of grit across the road) first thing I did was go home and get my camera and on the way back to the road, I went in to the place where I got the scooter from and asked then to look at my skid lid as it was scratched (had to replace the helmet as the scratch was a crack) it was one of the assistants that told me to get some radox bath salts and use them in a hot bath, worked wonders!

Yup - many a long hot soak in the tub after falling off / being knocked off my bike - thankfully always came off better than my bike did.

All my bike accidents are the result of someone else I'm pleased to say! "Sorry I didn't see you!" (wearing a dayglow cycle vest over my waxed cotton jacket with the headlight on) or diesel on the road, or an ungritted icey stretch of road / mud on the road from tractors and even on one occasion - they were resurfacing the road and had planed the road surface off leaving a 2 inch planed edge leading at an angle across the road which caught my front tyre and spat me up the road.
Luckier than some of my poor mates - one lost both his legs at the scene, the other was decapitated completely, a few other died at the scene.
R.I.P.!  :'(
