Open Discussion / Have you seen one ?

On arrival at our wildfowl farm permission my mate and I were greeted by the owners mother. She said, " keep a lookout for the black panther " . WHAAAT ?  She said a woman had seen a big cat less than a mile from the farm and had managed to take a photo of it too. Sightings of big cats are quite common in these parts , in fact Suffolk and Norfolk have apparently more sightings than any other part of the country. I,ve seen one , possibly two. I saw one crossing a field on the outskirts of Thetford one day. Deffo a big cat , long , black and with a long tail. Then a bout six months back , returning from a bottle filling session , a friend and I spotted what we think was a big cat stalking the edge of a hedgerow. I normally carry a monocular in the car glove box but for some reason it wasn,t there that day so couldn,t get a good look at it. Another friend , my local motorcycle dealer, has on two occasions , stood on a railway bridge not far from town and watched a large Puma walking along the railway line. Another good friend shoots a very large estate on the road to Thetford and they have had cattle mutilated by what could only be a big cat. They set a baited trap , a sheep tied up , to catch the thing but he has been sworn to secrecy about what happened. On another occasion when out shooting on a big permission I used to have, and at the end of the evening, I met up with my shooting partner who was looking rather bewildered. When I asked him what was the matter he said he was approaching the railway line along a hedgerow where there was a known rabbit warren , when a large, cat like creature jumped out of the bushes right in front of him . It ran away across the field. Later that evening he got in touch with a big cat watch forum. Apparently they knew all about this "thing " and said it was often sighted walking by the railway line that runs from Newmarket to Ipswitch and were not at all surprised at his sighting. Many years ago I spoke to a farmer on the outskirts of Lakenheath who said he saw a black panther cross about two hundred yards in front of his tractor. He said he had a .22 in the cab for shooting hares and was tempted to have a go but thought the better of it. Rightly , he said a wounded big cat would suddenly become  a danger to humans. So, there we have it . Anyone else seen one ?

I've got nothing against bullpups or semis (oo-er!) but that looks awful!

Is the response to the rain a knock on effect after the Silverstone farce?

Errrrr, no Franky, I most deffo haven't got one on order.

Call me old fashioned, but all these Intergalactic or Military/Ramboesque styled 'pups' do nowt for me.....I prefer summat more classical and elegant in looks.

Think S310, Falcon Lighthunter, RWS Excalibre, FX2000 and you'll get the idea. ;)

Sorry Boss, I was just Busting Them : I'm a  RWS Excalibre kind of Guy Too, if its a Mighty .22.....Franky

Due to Marquez receiving a 6 place grid penalty for irresponsible riding during an incident involving Andrea Iannone in Q2, he will now not start from pole, but instead will start the race from P7.

The revised grid is as follows....

1/. Zarco/Yamaha

2/. Rossi/Yamaha

3/. Iannone/Suzuki

Also, due to heavy rain which delayed the qualifying session, all classes of tomorrow's warm-up's and races will now start earlier than previously scheduled.
