If you weren't aware, Airgun Shooter magazine run a monthly update on the top 5 selling airguns in the UK from the previous month, and as I thought it would be helpful info for Planet Airgun members to know, I contacted the Editor of Airgun Shooter magazine, Nigel Allen, who has very kindly given permission to use the info on here, so many thanks to Nigel, and Blaze publishing for being so gracious.
http://www.airgun.tv/So from now onwards, I will post an updated list every month, so you guys can see what's hot, and what's not.
Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments at any time.
The following information was taken from the September 2012 edition of
Airgun Shooter, and was compiled to the week ending 27th July 2012
1/. Weihrauch HW100
2/. Umarex Beretta 92
3/. BSA Scorpion
4/. Air Arms S410
5/. Hatsan Model 85
At this time of year, what with the warm weather and the Summer Holidays, gunshop owners typically expect to be shifting lots of budget priced springers, but as you can see, that has not been the case recently, with 3 PCP rifles, and a CO2 pistol in the top 5.
A spring powered rifle does make an appearance in the chart though with the Hatsan Model 85, so at least part of the expectation has proved correct.
SMK usually have a strong showing, but this is the first time in ages I haven't seen their name on the list.
It's nice to see some home grown British produce in the list, with the BSA Scorp and S410 maintaining a strong and regular following.
So what's gonna happen next month.......will the brand new Walther LGV make the chart, or even top it, as springer connoisseurs rush out to add one to their collection?
