MotoGP - Austin
« on: April 21, 2018, 08:57:15 PM »
Front row starters for tomorrow's MotoGP Grand Prix from the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas are......

1/. Marquez/Honda

2/. VinalÚs/Yamaha

3/. Iannone/Suzuki

Whether those positions stand is currently under investigation as Marquez impeded Vinales on a flying lap, so Race Direction may impose some sort of penalty on the Spaniard.

Marquez was indeed penalised by Race Direction, who have decided he shall drop three grid places, and start from the second row of the grid in 4th.

I doubt it will make much difference to the race outcome, as his pace was head and shoulders above what everyone else was able to produce, so as long as he keeps it rubber side down (and doesn't incur any more penalties), then I'd still say he was still favourite for the race win.

The revised front row is...

1/. VinalÚs/Yamaha

2/. Iannone/Suzuki

3/. Zarco/Yamaha
