Yes, I think it received a heavy bang that bewnt it up, I've seen a few similar so there must have been some clumsy airgun owners over the last  hundred and twelve years!!

The grain isn't too bad on the straight hand stock..



It would look nicer with a refinish but then the metalwork would look strange so it would also need a reblue!!

I took my mate's to the range a few weeks ago.

I had to borrow some .177 pellets as I don't carry that sort of thing around with me.

Fortunately there was a lady there with a few in her handbag .........................

I'm pleased to report that the rifle works. It has an incredibly heavy trigger (you need almost as much pressure to fire the thing as you do to cock it!) and produces around 5ftlbs.

I don't think that's bad considering its age and that it's not had any work done on it.

BSA : British workmanship................
