It's not going to win any awards buy this is 3 shots at 25 yards with my Bantam.

(And it's my benchmark from which I WILL improve!)

..........so I packed up and went to the pub.

Not sure if I posted this before or not or if the image didn't show up in my last post on this thread.

Here it is again, just in case. Although the Red Stars proved to be Brown Turds in the end. 8)

OK, I've not used the FWB 127 sports for 35+ years. I'm told this is not bad for a nearly 40 year old rifle.

4X scope at 30yards after a couple of minor adjustments at an outdoor site today. I'm quite please with it.

What pellets were you using Vintage?

premier Domed ultra magnum, didn't really like them, sizes vary quite a lot with some pellets fitting well and some very hard to put it.

Even so, I think I did quite well, I even managed to hit an 87Mtr standing. :)

Vintage.

Have you tried RWS Superdome through it?

Personally speaking, I've found German barrels from around that era tend to favour German pellets, and likewise Brit Barrels favoured Brit pellets, such as the old IMI produced 5.6 Eley WASP, sadly now obsolete. John Rothery makes WASPs these day's, but they're nothing like the old ones, quality wise.

Time moves on and pellet spec has changed somewhat (but your barrel hasn't) so that adage may not now ring true with newer rifles ......but I've always found the German made RWS Superdomes work well in the vast majority of spring rifles, modern ones and even vintage Brit rifles.

Deffo worth giving them a try Vintage.....I'd be surprised if they don't work really really well out of your 127. ;)

Hi Gambo, thanks for the info there. I've found some and place them on order. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks how hey are as I can't get back to the local range until then but, I will certainly let you know how they are.
