The A39 is a nice ride if your not in a hurry.  8)
It's not a bad road, made 100 times worse this time of year by tourists, lacking the skill to over take a tractor or negotiate a bend at more than 20 mph  ::)

Are we talking the Atlantic Highway here?

If so, it's a road I always vow to come back and ride on the bike when I'm down in Cornwall with the family in the car (Yep, a tourist!).

Some cracking fast and flowing corners, with fantastic changes in elevation.....a real rollercoaster ride.

I'm guessing weekends are the busiest times on it?

Are there any days/times during the summer months when it's at it's quietest? (So I can come down and have a blast unhindered!).

Double downer. :(

Why do councils do that (rhetorical question!).........as they know it'll be knackered in a blink of an eye, and then only need doing properly again within a year....so they're paying for it to be done twice.

Instead of being tightarses, it'd be cheaper to just do it properly in the very first place! ::)

They might do it in some sort of idiotic bid to slow people down not thinking bikers could come a cropper on there
