Anyone have experience with these scopes? Available in eBay through a seller called " in your sights". Uk based seller but dunno where the scopes originate from. They told me the 4-16 x 40 will withstand Springer recoil, but would like 1st hand knowledge

Never had one myself sven, or known of anyone who has....but I just looked at an online review, and going by the pics of the turrrets I'd guess they (or at least the scope being tested) were made by Leapers, which is no bad thing.

I truth, there are only about half a dozen of so scope factories around the world (most now in China)....and they make the scopes for all the different scope brands, obviously to the specs and quality that each brand specifies or requires.

Off the top of my head, the Leapers factory has made/does make scopes for AGS, GunTuff, JSB, Crosman, Accushot....etc etc.

I have a few Leapers made scopes, all mounted on PCP's, and have never had a problem with any of them, despite they're low asking price. OK, they're never going to give the optical clarity that something like a Leupold will provide at long distance, but then we don't use airguns over long distance, so what the Leapers will offer will be more than acceptable in my view (no pun intended) especially at a fraction of the cost.

There are some 'scope snobs' who turn their noses up at budget end scopes, and who will only spend vast amounts on the very best glass there is. If you can afford to do that, fair play to you, but IMHO, there is no need........but then it's horse for courses I suppose!!
