Hi all
Just when I wasn't buying any more guns a rather nice Gecado mod35 popped up for sale by a friend, The stock was professionally refinished at Custom Stocks of Sheffield, It's .177cal and shoots rather well!!

Love the rearsight, It's not the same as the Original mod35 (Same gun but different name when exported to the U.S., Africa and Australia..)

The second I brought home this afternoon after swapping a Crosman mod 1322 that needed some work doing..
This is a Haenel mod1 DRP with the most gorgeous stock i've ever seen on a youths gun!, The fella I got it from said it was Elm! :o

Mmmm, very nice.
Going by the pics, I'm not 100% sure about it being elm, as that is usually a lot lighter in colour, but then again, it could have been stained darker. :-\ Whatever wood it is, it's beautifully figured.
Are you going to change the front stock screws on the Haenel, as they catch your eye, and jump out as being non-standard. ???
The 35 looks very clean.....lovely.

Hi Gambo
I noticed the screws were the wrong head type when I got it, It didn't bother me much until I put it on the worktop in the kitchen and it scraped a lump out!! :o
I just went and found two screws, Cut them down and they fit lovely, I'll put a bit of blueing gel on the heads tomorrow ;)
They're countersunk but with a slightly domed top!

Also found a small screw for the elevation on the sight but it needs a thumbwheel making then the screwthread hard soldering in 8)
Cheers, John :)
