The good old QC debate.

Over the years I've had & still have many different makes of rifles so I think I have a good idea of what to expect with new & old.My view over all its not too bad but should hell of lot better with all the new tech these days.

One example is the LGV,my old one has a much better stock than the new version though they are both well made.Time will tell ,perhaps not for me if the new LGV lasts as long my old LGV T .
On the US forum a new 34 has been stripped from new ,it has a few flaws in it which it really shouldn't by now but there not alone .My point is what should we be getting these days? I've always sorted mine so its become normal but its not right these days especially for new shooters; then again what would we talk about if they were all good. :o

I think the crux of the matter is price....or more accurately (no pun intended), profit margins.

Sad as it is, most manufactures are not in this game for the fun or love of it....they're here to make money.....and if that means cutting corners to keep the accountants happy, then as many corners as possible probably get cut. :(

And it's not just airgunmakers that fall foul to this happens at every level, whether that be in manufacturing or services offered.....and it's the end user, us the punters, that suffer to line the bank accounts of those we buy off. >:(

Of course there are exceptions, but those people/companies are usually at the very top echelons of their field.

At the end of the day....yer pays yer money and takes yer choice!!

I'm not sure on this one.
I'm generally happy with stuff I've bought over the last 10 or 15 years.... but... I notice on a recently new hw 98 22 barrel , the barrel stamping just in front of the hinge bolt , has been replaced with white lazer etching. It looks abit lame .

I plink , therefore I am.
