Photobucket problems
« on: August 17, 2017, 03:26:34 PM »
I,ve noticed that photobucket are no longer allowing my pictures to be displayed , something to do with third party hosting , whatever that means. Now they are asking for money to store and allow others to see my pics. Any way of getting around this anyone ?

Please have a read of this thread Mel >>>> http://planetairgun.com/index.php?topic=8955.0

Sadly Photobucket are attempting to shaft everyone who uses their, until recently, free services.

The vast majority of their members are justifiably jumping ship to other free pic hosting sites....but how long it will be before they start charging too is anyone's guess.

If they all do it, they'll basically hold the internet to ransom.....because they can!! :(

I agree.....following Blerky's recommendation I opened a postimage.org account too.

Fingers crossed it doesn't go the same way as PhotoPhucket, and become robbin' bastards overnight!!

Errrr, yep.

how do I download a pic onto this forum.

I've not uploaded any pics into my Postimage account yet....but it's probably similar to Photobucket, so the following info will more than likely apply.......

The pic you which to show will have an img code..........it's simply a case of copy and pasting that code into your post, and making sure there is this >>>>>  [img*] in front of the code, and this >>>>> [/img*] at the end of the code. The pic will then show in your post.

* Minus these red asterisks.

O.K. , got it. It couldn,t be easier, same as Photofu**t.
Bring up your required photo, full size. Right click on picture.
Left Click on " copy image location "
Go onto forum.
Click on " insert image "
Left click between img /img
Click on "paste "
Just done it. It works.
