Seventies
« on: May 16, 2017, 03:34:37 PM »
I'm back in time today while dusting off my old Sports & Hoffman Premier (HW35).These ones are how they were back in the day with no modern internals which reminds me why I went through a PCP phase. :)

In fairness Gam they are not terrible its just that after using sorted ,lazaglided & Walther LGV's amongst others you get used to these & forget how standard guns shoot.

You most certainly do.

When I was young I had a Webley Hurricane, and thought it was the bee's knees. A few years ago I got hold of a a minty, hardy used Webley Tempest (same pistol, but slightly shorter barrel and different sights), and was really disappointed with how harsh and twangy it shoots. I never recalled the Hurricane being like that!!!

Ive yet to shoot a half decent 'Wobbly'. They are just lusted after by collectors with rose tinted glasses who dont take kindly to you disliking their Holly Grail.  ;D

I've also got a brand new in the box Webley Tempest (in .177 - beggars can't be choosers!) which has never been fired.....so I can't comment on how good or badly that shoots.

Just for clarity, the two other Webley pistols I spoke about were/are .22.

Of course you've never fired it, it's a .177.
