Daystate magazine; Is it me?
« on: May 09, 2017, 10:05:50 PM »
So as I've said on the "Say hello" page, I've got a permission where I now moor by boat.

I hadn't used the Mk4 in ages and had lost the magazine so bought a new one... FOR 50 BLEEDIN QUID!!!!!

Anyway, I filled it with the correct calibre pellets,(that's right, .177) and loaded it into the rifle.
I was only checking zero so I let a pellet fly and went to reload. Only it wouldn't, the probe just kept jamming pellets into the breach at silly angles.

After a number of attempts, I notice that the outer body of magazine, (the last element the pellet passes through when loading into the breach) is about 1mm bigger dia' than the pellet. The result is the pellets drops a little when passing through this outer magazine body and so will never line up properly with the barrel prior to loading.

Anybody else found this or haveI got a duff magazine? I'm using JSB Exacts.

That clearly shows the magazine actually wants to be a .22, and not that silly lil' weedy calibre you keep pissing about with!!! ::)

Thanks for ACTUAL constructive feedback.

Found out it can be common but I never had this problem with the original mag that came with it.
Sent it back stating its for a Mk4 ISS and the problem. If they just blindly send another out, I might have to get bristly with them.

The up shot is that I'm now using the .22 Centenary SuperTEN while the DS is out of commission.
Forgot just how much the .22 arcs.
