Sounds about right, probably a 2005 HW35S (standard).

You can tell its a late one by the flat pistol grip, serial number on the front of the cylinder, shorter barrel, stamping in English for cal & of course the horrible warning stamp on the rear of the cylinder.

Good point it comes with synthetic piston seal that Gamboid prefers. ;) :)

Took it down the range today and I have to say its a beautiful gun to shoot. Everything about it is solid and feels so well engineered. I'm still getting used to the Vulcan tbh (today was on the second time I have fired it). More of a twang to it, so I may consider some sort of tuning. Also, after the HWs the trigger is all of nothing. That said, it does feel great in the hand, much lighter too. On the hunt for a BSA Airsporter S now :)

The "S" is well sought after by the Besa collectors so can be scarce at times then like busses loads turn up at once. The Mercury S is also a good model to have & the later Challenger makes a good shooter .I never really liked the Airsporter cocking arm back then I preferred the Original 50. :)

The S was my first proper air rifle as a kid. TBH I didn't really get on with it and ended up flogging it to buy my HW80! I'd like to add one to my mini collection for old times sake!

That looks to be in lovely condition.

As already said, it's a fairly newly produced rifle. Along with the tell tale signs already mentioned, the finger grooves in the forend are higher than previous examples, where the grooves were placed centrally/equidistant between the height of the forend.

Yep, that number is the zip/postcode......I did wonder how Nick came up with the notion it was a HW95 by using that!! :o ;D ;D
