She grew up in an Indiana town
Had a good lookin' momma who never was around
But she grew up tall and she grew up right
With them Indiana boys on an Indiana night

My very fave Tom Petty song!

Congrats on the FWB 65 Barry. Those are fantastically accurate pistols. ;)

I had one gifted to me by one of my ol' man's mates in the boozer many moons ago (about 2001, IIRC).

I used it for a while, and then stupidly part-ex'd it on a Gunpower Stealth (I think over the pond they're called Talon), which turned out to be the biggest piece of shit I've ever had the misfortune to own........something I cringe about and regret to this very day. :'( :'(

Sorry, I often forget that most airgun discussion boards are based in the UK.
IN means the state of Indiana, in the USA.   "IN" is the two letter state abbreviation of the U.S, Postal Service.

Probably the only thing you may have heard of from Indiana is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500 race.

Thanks for clearing that up. My mind always boggles when I see those things used on Reddit or such like. I could always google it all the time i suppose...

Edtwozeronine- No problem. I feel the same reading many posts on airgun sites when they reference English locations.  The what?  Where?
Now, Bisley I know of, but that's about it.

Gambo- Nice avatar.

Gambo- Our oldest daughter is named Delaney.  My wife thinks it had a nice ring.  The truth is, my inspiration was Steve McQueen's character in that cinematic masterpiece "LeMans", Michael Delaney.    As many times as I've watched that movie over the years with her within earshot, she hasn't pieced it all together.  I've made it nearly 17 years now.   Someday it will catch up with me.   Bad.

HeHe, that's a cracking story Barry! ;D

My favorite quote from the film is..."Racing, it's Life, anything that happens before or after, is just waiting". Infact, I've got a T-Shirt with that quote written on it. 8)

My missus knows all about the origins of both my Daughter's names (they are Catrin Annes, and Cerys Notrya), and thankfully was happy to go along with my wishes.

When we went to register my youngest Daughter's birth, when we said Her name, the registrar said 'That's unusual, is it Swedish?" !!!!! ;D ;D

That "waiting" T-shirt would be nice.   I need to lower my sights.  I'm sort of a watch nut, so I want a Heuer Monaco watch like he wears.   A Gulf jacket may be the best I can do, though.

Our youngest daughter is into archery, so I had to explain the finger salute at the end to her.  She liked that.

Oh yeah: Latest purchase.  I have a 1970-ish HW35 Luxus on the way. My first HW.   The FWB 65 is due to arrive today.   Gotta keep one on the way at all times.

I wasn't really looking for an HW35 because they aren't that common here, and bring a good price when I see them for sale.  Plus, this auction site has very few HWs anyway.

When I happened across this one, there was only a day left in the auction and it was only $110 (which I figure at 84.70 pounds).   I pounced.  Of course it went up, but I got it for $215 US, or 165 pounds.  It isn't perfect and has some wood dings, but unless I'm missing something very obvious I think I did ok on a site that isn't known for that.

Didn't need one.
Wouldn't pass it up.

Thats a good price i would say. ;)

This will have a nice Walnut stock with rounded pistol grip & checkering with no safety catch if its an early one.
