Howdy Barry, a Born Again from Indiana, and a very warm welcome onto our Planet. ;)

Great to hear you are getting back into our fantastic sport, and that you are enjoying your recent purchases. I note what you say about the RWS 34 being a bit harsh compared to the LGU, but I'm envious of your 34 all the same......I love 'em, as they remind me of a time when German airguns were no nonsense, and considered The Tops. You get what you see with the 34.....it's a tool, nothing more, nothing less. :)

We're a VERY friendly bunch on here, a nicer group of people you could not wish to find on the T'interweb, so please don't be afraid of joining-in with the fun, banter and discussions on here.

By the way, we have a very friendly compatriot of yours on The Planet called Franky, aka 21grains, who is based near the Massachusetts/ New Hampshire border, hopefully he'll be along soon to say hello.

atvb, Gareth.

Thank you all again.  With two of us from the USA, it looks like we are taking over.  Hey, it's just what we have to do to talk about airguns here.

As I expected, I have fallen deeper into the airgun hole.   I just bought something I've long admired- a Walther LGR Universal.
Woe is me?   Mmm, not really.  Happy is me.

I wonder if it's here yet.
How about now?

Now?

Oh, don't fear. I've liked these so long I'll surely have to shout to the world that I got one.

Aside from a little time with an RWS 34 and Webley Tempest 20 years ago, I seem to be back in the airgun game for the first time as an adult.   A BAA*.

I bought a Walther LGU in .22 this spring, and it's been all downhill from there.    Just in the last ten days, UPS and FedEx have delivered a Walther LG53, and a Webley Tempest and Hurricane.   I'm now halfway seriously searching for a nice old springer 10M rifle.

I currently help instruct with our county's 4-H Shooting Sports program, and just recently got the go ahead from my gun club to develop a junior shorting program.  Airguns are a big part of the 4-H program, and will probably be the focus of the gun club's new program.

I'm looking forward to the knowledge to be gained here....and possibly the guns from the classifieds to be gained here.

*BAA-
I stole the term BAA from model rocketeers who rediscover the hobby in their adulthood.  They call themselves BARs- Born Again Rocketeers.   I seem to see a lot of Born Again Airguns around, including myself.

Might I enquire where IN is?

Sorry, I often forget that most airgun discussion boards are based in the UK.
IN means the state of Indiana, in the USA.   "IN" is the two letter state abbreviation of the U.S, Postal Service.

Probably the only thing you may have heard of from Indiana is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500 race.
