Uncle Barry Memorial Weekend - Weather Forecast
« on: May 20, 2014, 06:12:18 AM »
Gents,

I know this weekend has historically been blessed with pretty good weather across the board, save for the morning I woke up to hear Nic crying about how cold he was.....wimp! :)

Well without trying to put a dampener on things please be aware the forecast is for almost biblically wet weather so please make sure you are prepared and bring good waterproof clothing and footwear. I am sure I don't need to point out camping when you are soaked through to the skin is not so much fun!

Good Luck Guys and I will see you all there, clicky linky for a peek at the forecast I am talking about:

And to think just yesterday someone (who shall remain nameless) that lives but a couple of miles from Melbury Abbas said to me he thinks 'Wednesday isn't looking good but the weather should pick up for the weekend' ;)

Anyway, it is what it is but forewarned is forearmed and if prepared for wet weather then it can still be a bloody good weekend, admittedly with an even larger slant towards drinking, eating and socialising and less towards doing any actual shooting but it'll still be great fun.

Be a shame if we can't have a plink or do the " HFT " comp but as you say more time for Wenham burger consumption  ;)

Well, I'm not saying it's not going to rain but the Blackmore Vale is known for doing what it likes when it comes to weather.
