Don't you have any land permission you can test the rifles on, or does it need to be an indoor range?

Since I don't have an FAC certificate, I can't test rifles unless I'm on a range. Silly really!

The only permission I have is 40 miles away in a different county, it's cleared up to .243!  ::)

Ehh??  ???

A mate of mine who worked in a local gunshop but (at the time) did not have his own FAC, but was covered by the shops FAC/RFD cert to bring guns home that he had repaired, to test on their behalf, acting as an 'agent' for them.

Dunno if it's a case of differing rules for different countries/counties here though.  :-\

Let me explain this a little, I am now an RFD, so I can therefore buy and sell FAC rated guns, since I also have modification and repair on my RFD certificate I can make them also. However, if I want to shoot an FAC airgun I am only allowed to do it on an FAC approved range because I am not an FAC certificate holder.

Indeed airgunnut, you can shoot a rimmy, but not an FAC airgun. Crazy isn't it!  >:(

It may be a rimfire range like we have here, indoor shed with a purpose built .22 prone target rimfire targets with a curtain bullet catcher. I was told that the pellets didn't have enough velocity to allow the curtain backstop do it's job properly.
